At approximately 8:32 AM, the Friendswood Police Department received a call regarding a hit and run accident in the 5100 block of FM 2351. The suspect vehicle struck a second vehicle while fleeing the scene and continued driving toward 1776 Park.
As officers arrived, the suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, attempting to enter a nearby creek. Officers quickly apprehended him without incident and conducted field sobriety tests.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges on Camden Cox, 31, of Friendswood, for Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Stop and Give Information.
