On May 29, 2025, at approximately 11:05 AM, the Friendswood Police Department received a call for an armed robbery that had just occurred at Bank OZK, located at 301 E. Parkwood Ave. Officers immediately responded to the area, gathered information from witnesses on scene, and collected video evidence. This information led to the positive identification of the suspect vehicle and allowed officers to track his vehicle from Friendswood into Houston.

At approximately 12:47 PM, the Friendswood Police Department Field Support Unit with the assistance of the Houston Police Department located the suspect in the Gray Acura SUV at the intersection of Magnum Rd and Dacoma St. His vehicle was transported back to the Police Department and processed for evidence. Officers recovered an air soft gun that resembled a 9 millimeter pistol, the bag he was carrying at the bank, and money.

The Galveston County District Attorney’s Office charged Michael Noil, 58, of Houston, with Robbery setting his bond at $200,000.
