Update 3:00 PM: At approximately 12:47 PM, the Friendswood Police Department Field Support Unit with the assistance of the Houston Police Department located the suspect at the intersection of Magnum Rd and Dacoma St in the gray Acura SUV. Officers were able to apprehend the suspect without incident and take him into custody. Both the suspect and vehicle have been transported to the Friendswood Police Department. Further details regarding the investigation and the suspect’s identity will be provided once they are made available.
ARMED ROBBERY: On May 29, 2025, at approximately 11:05 AM, the Friendswood Police Department received a call for an armed robbery that had just occurred at Bank OZK, located at 301 E. Parkwood Ave.
The suspect was an older black male wearing a dark green windbreaker, baseball cap, mask, tan satchel, and a black gun. He left in a gray Acura SUV heading southbound on Winding Way towards Polly Ranch. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Friendswood Police Department at 281-996-3300.
