League City, TX (June 18, 2025): League City Police Officers have arrested 19-year-old Ayden Williams of Houston and 18-year-old Tyreq Lazare of Texas City. Williams has been charged with Evading Arrest/Detention w/Vehicle w/Previous Convictions ($30,000 Bond). Lazare has been charged with Evading Arrest/Detention on Foot ($2,500 Bond).
At approximately 8:14 p.m., on June 17, 2025, the League City Department was alerted by the Flock Safety system of a stolen yellow Chevy Camaro, traveling Eastbound on W League City Pkwy near W Walker St. LCPD K9 Officer Ramirez located the Camaro driving Eastbound on W League City Pkwy approaching S SH 3. Officer Ramirez followed the Chevy South on S SH 3 and waited for back-up before initiating a felony stop. Once back-up arrived, a felony stop was initiated, and the Chevy came to a stop at the intersection of Olive Ave and Hill Ave.
The occupants failed to comply with Officer Ramirez’s commands to exit the vehicle and began fleeing South on Hill Ave towards E FM 646. The Chevy then struck the rear quarter panel of an F-350 towing a cargo trailer on E FM 646. The driver of the Chevy, later identified as Williams, and passenger, later identified as Lazare, exited the vehicle and ran South on Hill Ave. Officers began pursuing them as other officers checked the well-being of the driver of the F-350, who later advised they were not injured.
Officers observed Williams jump a fence and deployed a taser which was effective in his safe apprehension and was placed in custody. Officer Ramirez deployed K9 Rex to track Lazare through a wooded area, and he was successfully located and placed in custody without further incident.
