League City, TX (July 21, 2025): League City Police Officers arrested 27-year-old Ronald Miranda Ramos of Houston and 32-year-old Jose Quintanilla of Katy. Ramos has been charged with Deadly Conduct Discharge of Firearm ($25,000 Bond). Quintanilla has been charged with Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1
On July 19, 2025, at approximately 10:45 p.m., LCPD officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 3300 block of the S IH 45 Northbound main lanes. The incident appeared to stem from a possible road rage altercation. At the time, officers were already in the area investigating an unrelated major accident just North of the scene, which had resulted in the closure of the Northbound lanes.
Officers were provided with descriptions of the vehicles involved, a white Toyota Tundra and a white GMC Sierra towing a trailer. Officers quickly located the vehicles in the stop-and-go traffic. All occupants were safely detained without incident.
The driver of the GMC was identified as Ramos, while the driver of the Toyota was identified as Quintanilla. Through on-scene interviews, vehicle searches, and evidence collection, officers determined that Ramos had discharged a handgun, and Quintanilla was in possession of cocaine.
Both individuals were taken into custody and transported to the League City Jail.
