League City, TX — September 5, 2025

 

League City Police Department Detectives with the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), with assistance from the Houston Police Department’s Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT), have arrested nine individuals in connection with the Aggravated Robbery that occurred on July 28, 2025, at Sunny’s Jewelry and Watch Repair, located inside HEB at 2955 S Gulf Freeway, and multiple similar robberies in the Houston area.

 

Eight suspects were arrested on Thursday, August 28, 2025, during coordinated operations across Houston. A ninth suspect was taken into custody on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

 

Arrested Individuals:

 

  • Tommie Coleman (20) of Houston — Aggravated Robbery ($1M bond); Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity ($1M bond)
  • Jerell Davis (33) of Houston — Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity ($1M bond)
  • Shannon Evans (46) of Houston — Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity ($1M bond)
  • Laquincya Johnson (20) of Houston — Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity ($1M bond)
  • Monica Thompson (34) of Houston — Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity ($1M bond)
  • Patricia Thompson (65) of Houston — Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity ($1M bond)
  • Valencia Thompson (51) of Houston — Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity ($1M bond)
  • Vanessa Thompson (24) of Houston — Aggravated Robbery (No bond); Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity (No bond)
  • Aron Wilson (33) of Houston — Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity ($1M bond)

 

The identification of these suspects and the securing of their arrest warrants were the result of a comprehensive investigation by LCPD’s Criminal Investigations Division. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may follow.

 

The League City Police Department extends its gratitude to the Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT), which includes members of the Houston Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, for their assistance in these arrests.
