League City, TX – September 11, 2025
Detectives with the League City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU), with support from multiple law enforcement agencies, arrested two suspects on September 5, 2025, in connection with ongoing investigations.
Arrested Individuals:
- Luis Leal Jr., 17, of League City – Charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (No Bond). Leal was already out on bond for six counts of Aggravated Robbery.
- Randy Rojas Jr., 21, of Texas City – Charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle ($10,000 Bond).
On the morning of September 5, 2025, SIU detectives executed simultaneous search and arrest warrants at two locations: the 1500 block of Maria Street in League City and the 3100 block of Lone Trail Drive in Texas City. Leal was taken into custody at the League City location, while Rojas was taken into custody in Texas City. Both arrests were made without incident.
The investigation remains active, and additional charges may be filed.
The League City Police Department extends its appreciation to the Combined Agency Response Team (CART), Bay Area Regional Bomb Squad (BARBS), Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force, Galveston County Auto Crimes Task Force, Galveston County Crime Suppression Unit, and the Texas Department of Public Safety for their assistance in these arrests.
