It is with great sadness that DPS announces the death of Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Jerry Wayne Adamick Jr.
Trooper Adamick was responding to assist law enforcement partners with an emergency call around 9:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15, when his vehicle went off the side of the road, struck a tree and caught fire. Trooper Adamick died at the scene.
Trooper Adamick bravely served our state as a DPS Trooper and our country as a member of the United States Army for more than two decades. He was a dedicated and faithful public servant.
He leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.
