At approximately 10:55 AM, on October 7, 2025, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving erratically near Signal Hill Drive and Bay Area Blvd. The vehicle failed to yield then leading officers on a pursuit. While entering into the intersection at Beacon View and El Dorado Blvd the patrol unit was struck by a vehicle that was traveling Westbound down El Dorado Blvd. The suspect vehicle continued northbound on Beacon View away from officers.
Responding officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle in the 4900 block of Five Knolls Drive where he continued to evade until the vehicle came to a stop in the 15800 block of Hope Village Rd. The driver, Cole Coyle, 18, was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention With Motor Vehicle.
Two females sustained minor injuries from the accident and were transported from the scene to a local hospital. The officers involved were treated for minor injuries and released by medics on scene.
