On September 8th and October 6, 2025, the City Council established and appointed a 36 person Bond Ad Hoc Committee (35 members & one council liaison) to identify and prioritize bond funding for proposed projects to be recommended to the City Council for potential funding in a bond election to be hold on November 3, 2026.
MEETINGS:
- Typically 5:30 p.m. unless otherwise listed on the agenda.
- Meets every first and third Wednesday of the month.
- Meeting Room, Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department, Station 1, Whitaker Dr., unless otherwise listed on the agenda.

The 35 members were assigned into one of the following five subcommittees to review, analyze, and prioritize related projects:
- Facilities: Projects related to all city buildings including renovations & new structures; i.e., Library, Fire Stations, City Hall, etc.
- Parks: Projects related to all updates, refurbishing or amenities for parks, purchase of park land, pool, walking trails, splash pads, equipment, etc.
- Drainage: Projects related to neighborhood specific drainage projects, and storm water.
- Streets & Transportation: Projects relates to the reconstruction or construction of City controlled roads, bridges, as well as projects to relieve congestion.
- Finance: Analysis of finances, costs and financing of related bonds for projects.
