League City, TX (July 8, 2026) — In June 2026, the League City and Texas City Police Departments, in coordination with the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, conducted a multi-day proactive online operation targeting individuals suspected of attempting to engage in unlawful online communication with minors.

The operation has resulted in the arrest of eleven individuals. One additional arrest is pending the issuance of an arrest warrant.

All individuals arrested during the operation have been charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor. One individual was also charged with three counts of Possession of Visual Material Depicting Sexual Assault of a Child and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1.

The League City Police Department remains committed to protecting the children of our community and holding accountable those who seek to exploit them. These operations demonstrate the importance of proactive investigations and strong partnerships among law enforcement agencies dedicated to keeping our communities safe.

The League City Police Department extends its sincere appreciation to the Houston Metro ICAC Task Force agencies that participated in this operation for their professionalism, collaboration, and unwavering commitment to protecting children throughout the region. Participating agencies included the Texas City Police Department, Pearland Police Department, Dickinson Police Department, Hitchcock Police Department, Manvel Police Department, Houston Police Department, Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety and Homeland Security Investigations Galveston. Also, special thanks to the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office for their attendance and support throughout the operation.
