League City, TX (July 18, 2025): League City Police Officers arrested 38-year-old David Golson of Dickinson. Golson has been charged with Fail to Comply Sex Offender Duty to Registry Life/Annually ($100,000 Bond) and Fail to ID Fugitive w/Intent to Give False Information ($2,500 Bond). Additionally, Golson had an active warrant out of Harris County for Terroristic Threat and an active federal warrant out of the U.S. Marshall Service for Probation Violation – Transport Interstate for Sexual Activity.
On July 18, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., LCPD K9 Officer Davis initiated a traffic stop on a black Dodge Charger with expired registration in the 1700 block of W FM 646. The driver did not provide a valid state ID but rather identified himself with a name and date of birth while exhibiting nervous behavior.
Officers located drug paraphernalia and an out-of-state driver’s license bearing a different name from what the driver provided, further raising suspicions. Officers ultimately identified the driver as David Golson, a registered sex offender who had absconded in 2018 and failed to meet lifetime registration requirements.
Golson was placed in custody without incident. While in custody, Golson made a spontaneous statement admitting he had been on the run since 2018 and had acquired the fake ID at a flea market.
