SWATTING CALL: On July 29, at approximately 5:30 PM, the Friendswood Police Department responded to a call for a shooting in the 300 block of Brigadoon Ln. Shortly after their arrival, responding officers determined it was a swatting call.
Swatting calls are false reports made in an attempt to evoke an emergency response. Swatting is dangerous, illegal, and put lives at risk. The Friendswood Police Department will be investigating the origins of this call, anyone with information is asked to contact the non-emergency line at 281-996-3300.
