On January 23, 2026, the Friendswood Police Department received a report for a burglary of a business at a shopping center in the 100 block of S. Friendswood Dr. Approximately $7,000 worth of power tools were stolen sometime between 2:00 AM and 7:30 AM. Officers were able to gather video footage linking to a suspect and a vehicle.
Friendswood Police were able to locate Jesus Ordaz, 49, of Friendswood, and recover all of the stolen property. Ordaz was arrested on January 23 and transported to the Friendswood jail. The Galveston County District Attorney’s Office charged Ordaz with Burglary of a Building.
