Congratulations to Jason Ives, a Peace Officer with the Police Department, for receiving the Five Star Spirit Award.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This award recognizes City employees that have performed above and beyond their normal job duties. Jason was nominated by a resident who told us about an incident that took place between youth football games. A parent had a medical emergency that required EMS to be dispatched to the field, another parent went to the officer on-sight, Officer Jason Ives to ask for help while EMS was enroute. Officer Ives “exited his vehicle and ran in a full sprint to assist. This officer was on the radio with medical emergency and got the EMS to Friendswood Jr. High as fast as he could. The officer made sure that everything was secured and EMS was able to do their job.” This is Officer Ives’ second Five Star award. Thank you Jason!
