On September 1, 2026, at approximately 3:36 AM, a burglary occurred at Pearland Coffee Roasters, located at 201 S. Friendswood Dr.

During the burglary, the suspect stole over $6,000 in cash. Investigators were able to identify a suspect and a suspect vehicle using video evidence and other investigative tools.

These findings led to the arrest of Tanerio Jenkins, 20, of Houston.
On September 2, 2026, Jenkins was arrested on a traffic stop conducted by Friendswood Police on Hwy 3 in Webster. Officers performed a search on the vehicle Jenkins was driving. During the search, a backpack was found with a gun and marijuana as well as $3,600 in cash. Jenkins later admitted to investigators that the weapon was used to try and open 2 safes and that the money was connected to the burglary of Pearland Coffee Roasters.

The Galveston County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges on Jenkins for Burglary of A Building with a $100,000 bond. Jenkins is believed to be connected to multiple business burglaries in the surrounding area.

Investigators will be able to return the $3,600 of stolen cash that was found to the business owner.
