On September 11, 2026, at approximately 8:32 AM, the Friendswood Police Department responded to a report of lawn equipment that had just been stolen from a trailer in the 2100 block of N. Mission Circle. The reportee told police that three black males stole the equipment from a lawn crew’s trailer and fled the area in a white sedan. Using investigative tools, Officers identified the suspect vehicle and were alerted that it was traveling towards League City on FM 518. At approximately 8:49 AM, Officers located the suspect vehicle at the intersection of FM 518 and Bay Area Blvd. Officers performed a traffic stop on the vehicle and located two weed eaters and an edger matching the description of items that the victim had stolen out of their trailer. Officers also found other equipment that they believe may have been stolen from around the area and are checking with nearby agencies in hopes of returning them to other victims.
All four occupants in the vehicle were taken into custody and subsequently charged. The Galveston County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges on Aerius Banks-Behn, Makayla Wilburn, Deondre Keller, and Dyki Keller for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity with bonds set at $40,000 each.
