At approximately 12:18 AM, on January 1, 2025, the Friendswood Police Department responded to a major crash at the intersection of FM 528 and Bay Area Blvd. When officers arrived on scene, the driver, Summer Rachel Liston, 30, of Friendswood, appeared intoxicated and caused the accident. A DWI investigation was conducted, and Liston was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
The vehicle struck by Liston was occupied by three individuals. The driver and two passengers were transported to local hospitals. One passenger was released from the hospital and the driver and other passenger remain hospitalized.
The Friendswood Police Department is continuing the investigation into this incident. Additional charges will be pending the outcome of the investigation.
